STREAM CONDITIONS AND BLOG
We are blessed here in SE Minnesota that we can fly fish for trout year round thanks to new regulations in place, but Spring is truly a special time on the water. The warmer temps bring on prolific "hatches" of many species of aquatic insects including BWO's (Blue Wing Olives), Light Hendrickson's and Caddis flies which translates into trout becoming more active in their feeding behavior which means there's phenomenal dry fly action to be had! I have encountered such action the last several times out so be sure to stop in at the Driftless Fly Fishing Company fly shop in Preston, MN, pick up your needed flies, tackle and hit the streams and experience what SE Minnesota has to offer!
