STREAM CONDITIONS AND BLOG
Yesterday, the fly fishing in the Minnesota Driftless Area was nothing less than spectacular. The combination of perfect water conditions, ideal temps and possibly the fact that we were in a pre-storm front timeframe had the trout feeding aggressively. Streamers, Leech patterns and Woolly Buggers worked through the deeper, slower pools produced great results with many Browns put to the net. The area received anywhere from 6" to 10" of snow overnight but temps are forecasted to reach back into the low 30's by the weekend. This will halt the thaw and good fishing should be in store for us! Be sure to stop in at the Driftless Fly Fishing Co. fly shop in Preston, MN to buy some flies and tell some lies! Brian Schumacher
