Welcome to the Driftless Fly Fishing Canoe Page- A slow drift down a trout stream in a canoe is an experience that every person should have at least once in their lifetime. You are part of the flow. Moving with the current. You seem to have no worries, troubles, deadlines or technology to interfere with your connection to nature. You can access water that you can't any other way. My trips are relaxed yet productive. Drift along and stop to fish the pools. I don't work harder at fishing than work, and neither should you. Stealth is essential part of stalking trout, and that's why I use a 17 foot, Old Town Royalex canoe. Very quiet. Sneak up on the best pools, find big fish and catch them. That's about it. On the big water we can fly fish for smallmouth bass and wade the mouths and upstream portions of creeks coming in for trout. Smaller water, if it's low we might walk some. Overnight floats include meals and camping equipment if needed. We can even float from lodge to lodge, or just a day trip-Whatever your hearts desire-Your trip tailored to your preference-Camp can be rustic or designated campground with showers. Call or E-mail with what you want to do or catch-Rivers I float are-Root River Main Branch, South Branch, North Branch and Upper Iowa. If you haven't tried Minnesota's "other" canoe area you are in for a treat! Be a part of this beautiful area in a way you will never forget. Expert paddling instruction and safety precautions.
