It was a productive morning in the Minnesota Driftless with many fish landed. Temps were nearing 40 degrees by late morning and a nice Midge hatch occurred which caused the fish to begin focusing towards the surface. After having early success with a BH Pheasant Tail nymph it was time to switch to a small midge pattern and several nice Browns couldn't resist its allure. Be sure stop in at the Driftless Fly Fishing Company fly shop in Preston, MN to get the current "hot" flies and what areas are producing. Brian Schumacher
