STREAM CONDITIONS AND BLOG
It's a wonderful time of year to be a fly angler here in SE Minnesota! We have had a Spring filled with phenomenal hatches of Light Hendrickson's, Sulphurs and Caddis making for some incredible dry fly fishing. Last night we witnessed a Caddis hatch that rivaled anything I had ever seen and the trout had their eyes to the sky and were eager to eat! Even with a relatively heavy rain event in the overnight hours of Sunday morning, by yesterday afternoon the streams were only slightly stained with pretty normal flows. A warm up is forecasted for this week with temps pushing into the mid / high 80's if this occurs, hit the water early and late as these hatches will continue but are very water / air temp dependent. Stop in at the Driftless Fly Fishing Company fly shop in Preston, MN for all your fly and gear needs and hit those streams! Brian Schumacher
