With the high volume of precipitation in Southeast Minnesota the past couple weeks, streams are running a bit high and stained. The fishing has been outstanding in the smaller tributaries and headwaters. Stick to nymphs and larva patterns with a little flash. Streamer fishing is also effective after heavy rain events like we've had. Wooly Buggers, and bait fish imitations work well in stained, high water conditions. Don't be fooled by all the rain, the fishing is great!
